Greentree Servicing - Green Tree sold property for more then owed and has ruined my credit

First Greentree sold my property for more then loan amount I hired an attorney to work with returning the home and dealing with all Green Tree matters. As i had previously been harassed and was fully aware of the GTF practices. Today Green Tree has ruined my credit claiming a loan default for over $13,000 (High Balance) 2006. Yet the amount owed was much less then this as I paid on the home for many years. My attorney made multiple calls, sent certified letters and Green Tree has failed to provide any selling documents or even address my attorney at all. This happened in 2006. I have requested proof of this debt, property sale documents and they fail to address any questions or send anything to me or my attorney. They sent this account to a collections and they are worthless have no information. Today my credit is ruined because of this. I need did the right thing had an attorney to represent me to uphold the law and GTF does nothing to obey the law. They think they are the law and ruin peoples lives. Current status is "Debt Charged Off!" have the same harassment, cursing, lying experiences as many others.

Greentree Servicing - Annoyed

I was encouraged by two reps at Green Tree to apply for loan modification due to my tight financial situation. The one rep went through with me my budget on the phone and said I'd probably be eligible. I sent all the paperwork to them and then received a letter to call either one of two persons listed. I left various messages but never got a return call. I finally called customer service again and got a Mr. French who was very unprofessional. He refused to discuss the details and just informed me that they turned me down. He did not want to say why or discuss the matter. I told him that it seemed Green Tree wanted the house and not my payment if they were unwilling to even tell why I was turned down. He told me he was not going to argue with me and totally shut down any possibility of a civil conversation. I told him I did not want them calling me (they call if there's no payment even BEFORE the 15th of the month which is the grace period. He said that was not my decision and they would continue to call me. Very unprofessional and unwilling to work with me or even inform me of why I was turned down.

My father loan was transferred to Green Tree and he hasnt had the best time.My father currently has cancer and is recievneing disability. My father makes his payments on time and has never been late but it have touble making the payments becuase he is no longer working becuase of his illness he cant. He only gets disability. So he applied for a modification in june 2013 and was denied in July 2013 becuase he was not able to prove a real hardship. My mother cant work because she has to take him to chemo. So i call up to green tree and asked them about the denial reason. The woman told me and i quote " I'm sorry he has cancer but he does not have a real hardsip he can afford the payments". I mean he has to borrower money to make all the payments in the household. I mean that is fine if they dont want to assist us but i want people to see this is how Green tree treats borrowers. I hope someone important reads this. There needs to be a change.

Greentree Servicing - B of A modification lined up/ loan sold to Green Tree

While it took a long time for B of A to modify my loan, when they finally sent me a contract and I responded back with signatures on 2 copies and fedex them back, the loan was sold to Green tree. Now, I signed a modification contract with BofA, and Green tree has not honored the modification at all. They are harassing me and telling me I owe them money or we will foreclose on me. I sent them my copy of the modification, and I still get a bill that I owe them a different amount. I do not trust Green tree.I just put a brand new roof on house, it cost me 30K figuring I was going to stay in the house..Green tree just gave me new gray hairs and 5 years of early death due to stress.. Thank you Green Tree.

I had a problem with them as well. They seem incompetent.

You can report them to your states banking commissioner. I am enclosing a link to one of the sites. If everyone reports them then a lot of red flags will go up.

Customer of B of A for over 7 years. Paid everything through my bank. Pay on a Monday posted by Wednesday. Efficient. Since loan sold to Green Tree in April. Nothing but problems. Sent a check on Monday (bank has to mail rather than use ACH). It took 9 business days to post. Threaten you, with payment due on the 1st, no my agreement says payment on the first late on the 16th. Can't wait to sell and go back with a normal upstanding company. If you escrow taxes be sure to follow up making sure they are paid on time.

Green Tree is a typical BANKSTER. They now assumed BOA accounts and I pay by check.

Posted 7/1 due on 7/5 and sent me a special statement with late charges...WTF?

Electronic statement says I am current. Does the right hand KNOW what the left hand does? A bunch of "circle jerks" in my book.

I told consumer reports. I don't think ANY gov't entity gives a care about OUR misery with these banksters.

We have the very same issue! With B of A and they sold us to these incompetent shysters.

You cannot see what they are doing with YOUR money and their customer service is non-existent. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A TOP DOWN ISSUE. The only way to submit a complaint is through the people giving you the problem... what a deal.

This company must be only interested in taking away our homes, not servicing our loans. BEWARE!

Same with me. I just had a battle with them about this.

I was later than normal paying my mortgage-- the 10th and it is now the 17th. They said they don't have it and I have a late fee. I am incensed. The b**** at customer service asked me why I sent it in on the 10th and that I should auto pay or do a priority mail through post office.

For the over 16 years I was with GMAC, I never had this problem. I hate this company. Customer reps give conflicting info-- one yesterday said 7-10 business days and the one I called later in the day said 5-7. Plus the statement for the following month is sent out on the 7th so it never shows that a payment has been made.

I am filing a complaint with the attorney general at my state.

I have excellent credit rating and have never been late on a payment until now. I am ticked :(

Not so easy to sell. We have been trying for months and they won't provide the paperwork with the new lender.

Keep hearing excuses and we lose our locked in low interest rate this Friday because we cannot extend our close date any longer. Greentree does not hold any accountability or responsibility. This is pretty unbelievable that a company can operate a business as such. Unfortunately, B of A sold our loan to Greentree so we did not have a say.

Now we cannot get out.

I recently sold my home, out from under Green Tree. I requested a pay off, and with in the 10 day grace period, they recieved their check. My loan is still open and they are looking for even more money. I called about it when I found out after applying for a new mortgage, that the old one still existed! After several calls to customer disservice, the answer I got was they were trying to add on some legal fees, AFTER THE FACT! They've been sitting on the check for two months and just yesterday put in a request to add on more fees. My home is sold and I'm 9 states away now. It is haunting my credit at this point as they have already pushed it to forclosure due to non payment. What a joke. No one can answer any questions. They have no reasons. How can you supply someone a pay off, recieve a check, not cash it, then 2 months after the sale of the home try to add on some sort of made up legal fees?! My lord, if you have the means, NEVER deal with Green Tree. Terrible. Lawyers called on it, they wouldn't give out any information even though the check they recieved was from them... I have yet to hear a happy story come out of Green Tree. I will be calling the corporate offices tomorrow and see what I can get out of them. Shameful.

Greentree Servicing - Not *our* problem!

our family is under financial strain. there are reasons behind that strain and we are looking ahead to fix things BEFORE the strain becomes a disaster. We decided to contact green tree to apply for a modification on our loan. This was middle of May. I was told to fax over all docs. I did so. a few days pass I call to make sure they were received. I spoke with Dillan. he went over the mod. process with me I said I understood all of that and that I had already faxed the information over. He stated taht yes an account had been opened for the Mod but no fax had come through, mmm? ok I will resend. My husband called to make sure fax went through and was told yes they were recieved. a few days pass and in the mail I receive a whole new packet and two letters one says we are reviewing your application and documents we will be in contact with in 30 days. the next letter says you are about to be disqualified due to not having proof of income and two months bank statements. the two letters dated the same day and the packet dated 8 days before. I called and spoke to Dana who from the moment she picked up the phone had an attitude with me and i had yet to even tell her why i was calling. with a partial explanation she begins to ask me why we are behind in payments? I said we are Not behind in payments. well then why do you need a modification, because we are at risk of falling behind. she then tells me that although a fax was received only one page came through and there was no way for her to retrieve the missing 14 pages, she was quite an angry woman I have no idea why. I told her I would resend all documents through the mail with ATT. Dana on it she said Okay you do that. kinda like what ever!that was on June 19th. I called Dana on Monday June 24th to see if she received the packet. before I made that call I said to myself be OVERLY NICE see if you can crack her anger and turn it to peace. Ha! i don't believe that is possible! I started by asking how she was doing blah blah blah. then asked if she had received the packet. she said I told you we only received the one page out of the 15 butr i spoke to my manager after we talked last week and he said you do not qualify, although you had neck surgery your choice to have your adult daughter and her family living with you is your choice. I said to her " is there a reason you are coming off so aggressively towards me? IM NOT! im just telling you what my manager said and just because you had neck surgery and have your adult child and her family living with you is why you don't qualify. I said " uh huh well i understood that the first time you said it. she said well its NOT OUR Problem that you choose to let your children move in you don't have to let them move in! I said can i have your managers name? she said yes its Marty. and his last name? no we don't disclose that information due to security risk. WTH??? okay, his extension? she gave me that I said goodbye. called Marty I was given voice mail Marty Wintworth left a nice out going message that he would return my call if I left the information which I did. He didn't call back. I called the next day. Marty had me on hold for 12 minutes twice coming back on to ask me to continue to hold. third time he asked me call back in two hours, I did. I got his voice mail. I called the next day and every day till today and same thing voice mail. will now file a complaint with the federal trade committee and see what happens. I would suggest that every 500 plus people who have complained on here do the same thing. this is for sure a site to put voice to our complaints but to complain to the state or fed gov. might actually get some notice>???

It is a bad company. My husband and I have gotten behind.

We want to get caught up and stay that way but they told me that they dont refinance or modify loans , when we asked. Never would give us any paper work to fill out. I have had to defer payments twice which they did do but was probably a mistake because there is no telling just how much they deferred on to the back of our loan. No matter what we pay it is never added to the principal always the ridiculous amount of interest.

They want you to stay behind and keep charging you late fees and whatever.

They want foreclosures and bad debit because they suck you dry and the take you house. Just so they can go to the next person they can suck them dry

Greentree Servicing - They lost my payment and will not refund it

As many others my loan was sold to them from BofA and I made my payment on time. Since then I have paid off the loan. They acknowledge they received the payment, but 2.5 months later they will not return my money. They say only another 30 days and they can look at issuing me a check. The never call me back as promised and they will never let you talk to anyone who can do anything other then put a note in their system. Their "service request" procedure is a joke and has to be resubmitted over and over. If your loan goes to them RUN!

Greentree Servicing - Bad from the get go!

Like other posters, my mortgage was transferred from BOA to greentree. I received a June statement from BOA, so I sent my June payment to them. A few days ago, I get a notice from Greentree that my account is delinquent?? Tried calling greentree the first time, got fwd to a voicemail, left a message,no call back. The next day, called again and got a real person, who immediately began bombarding me with questions about how I intended on addressing my delinquent payment?? Excuse me, I have never missed a mortgage payment and told her this. I explained what happened to her and she was speaking very condescending to me... not appropriate! She then began getting pushy trying to get me to pay immediately over the phone. I declined and stated I would contact BOA first. What a joke of a company. I even asked the guy at BOA if greentree was a legit company because their customer service was so unprofessional. He just laughed...

Told they mailed out my "Welcome Packette" 20 days ago. Have not received. Then was reassured that they were not filing with the courts yet. thanks BOA, 11 years with you.

Closing all BOA accounts and NEVER going back.

Stuck with these guys 9 more years. GONNA BE FUN

Greentree Servicing - Trying to charge me to pay online and keeps screwing up my account

I am having to deal with the same issues with this completely horrible company. What I have resorted to is downloading a mouse recorder that keeps submitting emails to their site asking/demanding to allow me to pay online without the $12 charge. My agreement states I can make payments online without penalty until the 14th day of the month. So far I have sent about 30,000 emails to them and it will continue until the correct the problem or we wind up in court. Unfortunately there isn't much recourse for the horrible companies other than to refinance like I am doing now. Good luck.

Greentree Servicing - Threats Lies and fraud

I have tried for 2 years to get the government assisted Loan modification from Greentree LLC. They have lost paperwork, told me that paperwork was out dated and had me resubmit and again lost paperwork. I have been working through SCHUD and have had help from Government office Springboard. We did a 3 way call that was recorded and greentree admitted that they would throw my modification paperwork in the trash can if I didn't make 1 late payment (two weeks late). I was sending the papers to the collections department in SC! that was the address that they gave me. WRONG. It was supposed to go to modifications in Arizona. after 2 years, I was denied and my home is now going into foreclosure. They will not tell me who owns my deed of trust so I cant file a complaint against them. They are now trying to force me out of my home before foreclosure is even filed in the master of equities office. I was told 2 months ago that they could do the modification but my insurance was raised from 85$ to 226 a Month. so in essence, my payment would remain the same. I am being harassed and treated like a criminal I need a class action!

Greentree Servicing - Nastiest "Customer Service" Dept I have Ever Seen

The "acct rep" Theresa, whose role title is a joke, leaves nasty, threatening voicemail messages starting on day two of the month even when there is no past due amount on both home and mobile phone. She has, along with other awful CS reps from the posted CS number routinely hung up on myself and my BofA bank rep. Theresa and her group misrepresents their positions and your options as a mortgagee. When you ask to speak to a supervisor, they mislead you into thinking either 1) that is not possible because of vacation, hours, etc., or 2)they present a co-worker as the supervisor. It is truly disgraceful and an insult to the industry. They should all be fired!

Greentree Servicing - Paid home off. Still getting calls and a notice of default

On May 10, I mailed my VERY LAST payment to Greentree, to the address that is on the monthly statement that says send all payoffs to this address. Apparently it took 11 days for them to receive it because it did not clear the bank until May 22. The week after the check cleared the bank, I got a call from Jesse Zavala stating that the acccount was past due. At the time, I did not know that the check had cleared the bank, I told him I had mailed it to the address on the statement, he told me that was the wrong address and it needed to go to a different address. I told him I would sent up for it to be sent again through my bill pay at my bank as I have always done and they could figure out how to get it to the correct department. When I went to my banks website to set up the payment, I discovered that the check had cleared the bank the week before. I called him back but he was out of the office so I was transferred to the payoff department and Greg confirmed that the check had infact been received and was posted to my account on the 21st and that I should be getting the deed within 4 to 6 weeks. I thought all was well and good. Then on June 4th, I get another call from Jesse Zavala asking me if I was planning on settling this matter. I explained to him that the check had cleared the bank and I had also confirmed this with Greg in the payoff department. Jesse said that it is still showing up in their system as delinquent. I faxed him the copy of the cancelled check. However, after I spoke to him a Notice of Default was sent out from his office giving me 30 days to "Cure" or they would take legal action. One office does not know what the other office is doing and evidently they do not communicate with each other. Will be SO GLAD to have them out of my life.

BOA sold my loan to this good for nothing comapany!!! May was my first payment and the first person I talked to was the rudest woman I have ever talked to, so I called back and asked to speak to a manager about her attitude, of course she said that her attitude was totally unacceptable and she would deal with her. I have never missed a payment with BOA. I'm making my payment for June today which is June 4th and they are charging me a late fee!!!!!!!!!! I thought you're supposed to have until the 16th before it's officially late and a fee is charged. This company is a scam and should be put out of business and I am mad as $%#& that BOA sold my loan to them (without at least consulting me)

The 16th is not when your payments officially late. With BOA and GT, your payment is due the first of each month.

If payment is not received by the first, it is considered late on the 2nd and collection activity may began on the 2nd or any time after. Collection activity (phone calls, etc.) will continue until payment is posted to the account. If payment is not received by the 16th of the month (15 days past due) a late fee is added to the payment on the 17th of the month. The 15 day "grace period" is meant for borrowers to use once or twice during the 15 or 30 year life of their loan when there is truly an emergency.

However may borrowers pay their mortgage ever month other 16th of the month. Because in their little pretend world, that is their official due date.

The mortgage note, legal document they signed, clearly states the payment is due the first each month. You may think that the GT and BOA reps are rude but you are more than rude for not making your payment by the due date.

We are Located in SMyrna, Georgia and have had the same issues...We paid two payments to BOA before we were notified that they no longer serviced our loan. By this time we are two months past due with Greentree. We tried calling to get something in writing from Greentree and was told until we pay almost $ 800.00 in late fees We were not rec ieve anything inwriting to this company...

File an FCC complaint on this company.

BTW...we must have spoken to the same woman...

our house payment went up without any notification. when I called they said an increase in your escrow balance was dhort and if not paid by a certain time the payment would go up... however I never received any notification of the Escrow balance increasing OR that my draft amount submitted to my bank had increased!!!! The associate who took my call was not interested in what I had to say.. I had to interrupt her to say "I know this is not your concern...but I was not given a choice who my original loan company sold my loan to ... but please share with your supervisor that we are very dissapointed with the way your company does business." I will also visit with our Banker at the first available opportunity.
