Harassment Calls Review

Green Tree has added on over 43,000 in penalties and fees which no one can explain taking my payment to an impossible monthly payment. They call at least 10 times a day asking for my payment ad are now calling my neighbors! TRUE HARASSMENT AND EXTREEMELY UNPROFESSIONAL!

The worst company of mortgage....the people are rude and they call u every day in call your neighbors in people on your street to look for you when you a day behind...they are not professional in hakf of them dont know what they doiny..they are loud in treat people like animals...My mortgage used to be bank of america but now greentree in they are horrible in terrible i just want to pay off not to deal with them cause they hararass eveyday in will call u when u tell them nit too im just disguisted with them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes they use the "escrow cushion" or minimum balance requirement which by government regulation they are allowed to pad or have at least one-sixth of the annual amount to be paid out of your escrow account. They send you a yearly escrow account disclosure statement with the new amount on it and your new monthly mortgage payment which is usually always higher.

This info can be found on their website under "how to read your escrow disclosure statement". And forget about trying to talk to one person about any issues you have because u get thrown into the customer service call center that has hundreds of warm bodies answering the phone if you even get that far. Email doesn't work either you have to send any correspondence via certified return receipt to one of about for different locations. Your are in for a very frustrating, drawn out process that takes also months & months to try and get your account looked at and then they throw you back into the same old circle again.

I am dealing with this company also and it seems the government should put them out of business before we the consumer loose our homes to GTS just because our mortgages were sold to them.

Harrassment

When you are late with a payment the representatives call you at least 10 times a day. I know they want their money and I will pay them their money. As a matter of fact I am one month behind. But they are not suppose to call you at least 10 times each and every day. That is harassment and I am reporting this to consumer affairs. No company is suppose to harass you that much in one day and every day on top of that. This company is the worst. Of course my mortgage was sold to this company and I have never had this problem with any of my other mortgage companies. This much stop. I have read some of the other complaints about this company and I think this company is the worst. Of course I didn't sign up for this company it was just thrown on me.

EverHome sold my loan to GreenTree, a true nightmare..

My loan was sold to Greentree by EverHome - with devastating results... they are rude, yell and will hang up on you. After reading reviews on consumer reports/complaints - I'm really nervous that they will not pay my property insurance and taxes on time or handle my escrow analysis efficiently. For the first time, after living in my home for 20 yrs..I feel as though I'm subjected to a predatory mortgage company.. My bankruptcy was discharged and loan reaffirmed years ago. Greentree has my account in bankruptcy status - is refusing to report to the bureaus - even though EverHome clearly shows that the loan was reaffirmed - even modifying my loan in 2013, sending regular billing statements and reporting to the bureaus!! My mtg is current and is paid each month on time - my first statement from them - We will exercise our right to take possession of the collateral if payment is not received by the 1st. GA laws allow for swift foreclosure procedures... this is frightening.. Im I going to be threatened every month. There are so many horror stories about situations - paperwork falling through the cracks..

Greentree can't find my payments.

Greentree bought my loan in March 2014. I was told to send electronic payments to the Illinois payment location, not Pasadena, California. After providing electronic confirmation that they have received the last 3 payments, they have continued to charge late fees and special electronic transfer charges. Apparently I am out close to $1000 in lost mortgage payments plus late fees and a negative credit impact. They said they need 60 days to look for the payments but for the most part they never return a phone call. I am going to try to take them to court but I need to do more research on how to proceed.

March here too...keep getting certified mail saying I owe over 16,000 by the 16th of the following month. I still don't know how much my modification payment is so they keep telling me to pay what ive been paying until i get something from them in the mail...?

So Ive received several letters, all saying im late over 16,000 in payments and here it is almost time for my July payment and Ive been waiting for my new modification payment since March?

Reading all these posts now has me really concerned. Is there anything that can be done, other than keeping good records, recording all conversations then hire a lawyer?

Ours was taken over in March 2014 as well .We just got a statement from them saying our escrow was under by 1900.00 and we had to have a 700.00 cushion in our account at all times and if we didn't pay the 1900.00 they would spread it out over 36 months and on top of that our normal payment would be going up by 53.00 . That is about a hike in payment of 135.00 ALL of this with no explanation .We have had this loan for 12 years and NEVER had a late payment or problems and now we are trying to find out where our escrow money went when we were with Citimorgage ! Either green tree is keeping it or citi didn't transfer it ..I am so upset we can barely afford what we already pay!!

Got a call from Green tree leaving me a voicemail stating that I need to call them immediately. Shock to me because I paid that loan off a few months ago and even got a check back for over payment.

Called them back to see what they wanted. Whoever answered first was quite rude and unprofessional. I told her I dont know why they are even calling me since I already paid off my loan months ago. After putting me on hold another lady comes on and says oh just disregard that call.

Wtf?!?! Please get your information correct before you start calling people and leaving them urgent messages.

Fee for online mortgage payment

I called to find out if they really charged $12 for on-line payments. Talked to "Biedrick" who told me they were located in South Dakota. Their website says California. Wherever it's at it must be the 1990's there because I haven't had to pay a fee for paying my mortgage on-line since 1997. So good ol' Biedrick told me that he didn't have to provide me with his last name. Then I log onto Pissed Consumer and low and behold - THE WHOLE COMPANY IS OBVIOUSLY A TRAINWRECK. It sounded like they were being run out of someone's house. The first girl I talked to was rude and actually laughed at me when I requested to talk with a manager.

Collection tactics, calls, letters, misplaced docs and threats

I was requesting a forbearance which required very little paperwork. I was approved and then 2 weeks later I rcvd a denial letter, every time I called I was told different reasons for the denial. Then they wanted me to submit numerous docs and they pretended to process a hamp which I never asked for. It didn't matter, I faxed and mailed all the docs several times and they always say they didn't receive this or that, always 1 doc at a time. So you will have to call back and then they tell you about another doc they need, I asked why did you tell me about that the last time we spoke and they will come up with a lie. (stall tactics) They denied it in the end due to not receiving all the documents, go figure. I've blocked them from calling my home and cell phone, they have about 15 different #'s to call from with different area codes. I called them to set up a pymt for the 2nd of next month yesterday and they tried too strong-arm me to get it on the books for 5/31, immediately I knew they were trying to reach an end of the month quota, I told the sup Brandon that I won't be doing that and I will just send a check. He told me he would lock the acct and not accept pymts, my response was good luck with that and I hung up and they have been trying to contact me ever since. I'm two months behind and that includes this month, I know you have to be at least 3 months behind for them to do anything. All of these complaints tell the same story over and over again, this company is horrible, unprofessional and their tactics are illegal. Don't allow them to scare you with idle threats. Good Luck to you all and we really should get another class action lawsuit going'

Greentree keeps misapplying my payments and are now for the third time saying they have not recieved our payment and we mailed it in two weeks ago. What can be done about this inept group of people?!!! They are driving me to the brink.

Greentree Customer Service writes down wrong account # over the phone.

Google: GreenTree Servicing Mortgage News- Thank God their Karma is starting to raise it's ugly head on them. They should be closed down permantly and forbidden to work in any financial business. Health issues in family distracted me from my monthly bill paying. So when I realized it , I called in with a credit card. Customer service of course verified me with 6 questions (which I wonder is it really necessary) I'm calling to PAY a Mortgage! I'm not asking for equity, or a line of credit, or a balance. After the questions were answered I told her over the phone that I was using a VISA, # on the card, Verification code, expiration date, & name on card. I told her my account# and that I was paying the monthly mortgage payment. The next statement arrives and I see a LATE CHARGE. I called listened to the horrible music and their horrible advertising. And guess what ? CUSTOMER SERVICE wrote the wrong account number, and as a result my account was delinqueint and i was charged a late fee $36 dollars. I explained that the date on the phone call was within the time limit, and that the error was on their end. I wasn't getting anywhere so I asked to speak with a customer service manager. After a total of 45 minutes from beginning to end . They said in order to have the late charge removed I would have to write a letter, I did, then they sent me another letter letting me know that they're reviewing my request. Finally I was sent a letter that I could either take it off my next payment or have them write a check. My personal comment regarding this company and many corporations is that their only INTENT is to wear down the customer, with the terrible music, advertising, too many voice-prompts so by the time you actually get to speak live-you're mind has checked out. At this rate if we keep opening our mouths and let them continue force feeding us with their de-regulated garbage- the USA will become a 3rd world country! People get off your Laurels and write your congress people, state senators, house of representatives, your govenor, mayor, and President Barack Obama. KEEP their names, emails and phone numbers handy-Pass them around to your neighbors- Use the tools that we still have a right to use before it's too late. Green tree bought citifinancial personal loan and fraudulently reporting loan as mortgage

Green tree evidently bought my citifinancial personal unsecured loan in November 2013, at the same time that I moved from my former residence. I had automatic payments set up with citifinancial. I was not alerted that my loan was bought. In April when checking my credit report, I found a new account on my credit report from Green Tree listing a mortgage loan which was 60 to 90 days past due. I also learned green tree was calling my family members and harassing them on their home line as well as two cell phones, from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm. This is a very unethical company with complaints, investigations and pending class actions. Please comment below if you have experienced similar things.

Harassing calls to family members

I bought my home in 1995 my brother is my co-signer but he's listed on the account as the head signer. My husband was in an accident and I had to have surgery but we still didn't miss a payment I tried to request a extension but could not because my brother had to be the one to make the request because they have him as the head on the account he does not speak to me anymore because they harassed him and he do not like collectors calling him because he's rich and don't have late payments. so when they called him he stopped speaking to me. He has never made a payment on my home but I can't do anything on the account without him. If I pay them on Friday they call me on Monday to find out when I'm I going to make the next payment my husband has been out of work for 18 months and I almost had a nervous breakdown because they just keep calling and calling.

They are calling your brother because he is legally as responsible as you for the $. If you want them to stop calling, you have to put it in writing.

So what's your complaint here? If you didn't miss a payment, they wouldn't or shouldn't be calling.

You can also tell your brother that if payments are missed on the account, it's his credit too.

Best thing to do is change your home number. They can contact you by letter if they don't like it.

Nothing but harassment and threats

I've had my mortgage for 7 years, 3 of them with Greentree. This is by far the worst, most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with. If you are 1 day late with your payment, regardless of whether or not you have a 15 day grace period, they'll call you 5 times a day. Each account is assigned a " account manager" who is nothing more than a debt collector. Whenever I speak with mine, he wants me to jump through hoops, I'm assuming so he gets credited commission or whatever they get. He's asked me to wire payments, which I have. Just wiring the money isn't good enough....he then demands that you call him right after to tell him you wired it....please. I was out of work and coming up on 30 days late so I called to see if I could either defer a payment, or make a double payment the following month....the man I spoke to pretended to want to help me by sending me info on refinancing. After I kept refusing he said it doesn't hurt to look it over. So finally I agreed and he pulled up my credit report WITHOUT even asking me and began to comment on it saying "well I see you've been living off of credit cards"....that was it for me. I will no longer speak to anyone at that company. I send my payments through bill pay whether they're on time or a week late and I don't answer ANY of their calls anymore. I already sent this months payment, they should have received it, and everyday my account manager calls me multiple times and leaves me threatening messages. Today he threatened to call my relatives and neighbors. I'm so done with his poor excuse of a company. I wish I could somehow get away from them. I really don't know how they're allowed to operate with the mafia tactics they use.
