My loan was transferred from Bank of America to Green Tree.

All I Rex's was a notice from Green Tree that they purchased my mortgage ! That was it, except that it would cost me $12.00 to make every monthly payment. With Bank of America I had short term disability insurance , which was dropped during the translation . I am out on short term disability since Memorial Day and and still out. They informed me that I no longer have the insurance and that I'm 3 months behind in payments. I have been paying the same mortgage payment even tough they said the disibility payment was dropped ! They are setting up foreclosure and won't help me or answer any questions about their closing even though I ask every day. Both my wife and I are disabled. They say customer service is open 24/7 yet at this time they are closed. Yet I Rec'd calls at 4:00 AM.

Missing Green Tree Payments

They bought my mortgage in May.Its now July and they have lost all 3 of my payments.I sent the last 2 quick collect,west union said GT got them and GT still denies it! They made me jump through hoops to show proof,demanded WU call them then said they would do a lost payment search.They are stealing peoples homes!! SOMEONE NEEDS TO STOP THEM THEY WILL GET MY HOME OVER MY DEAD BODY!! I have also heard that they won't pay your insurance so it gets dropped then force you to buy their insurance.They keep the payments you send making you late then threaten or start foreclosure!!! I am sending my next one certified mail so they have to sign for it as proof.I called the AG office in MS,signing every petition I can,and complaining everywhere.STOP GREEN TREE NOW!!!

Greentree Servicing - Bad Employees Review

Greentree employees are the worst, they are rude and mean. Liars who leave horrible voicemails. Constant harassment and speak words filled with hate. They told me one when I was two months behind that they wouldn't take one payment! They refused my money! I only have 9,000 left and their level of harassment gas escalated and their threats are very calculating. Worst company ever, I wish I could get a different lienholder!! I have requested a deferment since I dont work in the summer but they won't work with me. They just want my 18 year old trailer!!

Where do I Start?

My mort was also sold to Greetree Servicing. I had a goal of paying my loan 6 months ahead. I informed Greentree via email and phone. I found out later that they do not do that and didn't even bother to tell me. So I kept making payments thinking I was getting closer to my goal. They aplied my additional payments to principal. I asked them to reverse the payment and reapply. They would not. I asked to speak to a supervisor and got the same bad answer, we don't allow over 2 months payment. I was promised a call back but that never happened. I then legally changed my name and emailed them for instruction on how to change my account. The email response made no since. They must have been answering another question. I then replied to their response asking for clarification; I never got a response. I finally called. I was told to fax or snail mail the court papers. I asked what was the difference between a fax and a scan. She did not know. Why can't I just email it? Why couldn't she take ownership of my problem and see it to a conclusion? I've never encounter anyone who took ownership. Their online website is a joke! They do not have the basic tools a mort lender should have. They treat you like someone who they are trying to collect delinquent payments. They act like debt collectors. If I mark to have them contact me, I'm sure it would just enrage me more. Why can't they treat me like the valued customer I am? I have an excellent credit rating. I wish my experiences were like the service I get from Quicken Loans. I would consider refinancing if I could be guaranteed that my mort would not end up back at Greetree and I hate refinancing!

As a ex employee of Green Tree I see the same issues that are happening when I was employed there. Things will not change , due to managers will not allow collectors or customer service reps time to correct any issues with your account.

They are timed with each call and employees work on bonuses in all departments, and will lose their jobs if they don't make quota. Green Tree makes money with late payments and fees charged to take a payment. They make it difficult for clients to get info on their accounts and tell the customer to summit their request in writing. I lost my job for not hitting goal and now the goal has changed back .

South Dakota is a right to work state and Green tree can mistreat employees and fired you without cause. Best solution to this issue is to refinance to a new lender but not with Quicken Loans their loans are transfer back to Green Tree. Contact your states Attorney office and record calls and keep letters. I know for a fact green tree held payments on line bill pay payments thru customer banks for 2 weeks three years ago and we were told to tell customer we did not receive them, which was not true.

Green Tree also posted payments to principle instead of payments when loans were nearing maturity date and sent customers a notice of default several times, and we were not allow to assist them when they called in. My supervisor said to transfer to backend rep who never took the calls or call back to resolve issue. Customers would always tried calling back to me and nothing I could do or resolve. Green Tree motto is take the money and run, no sense of respect for their employees or customers.

I average nearly a 100 percent in quality control and customers respected my work , I worked for Green Tree over 10 years and was taught to do my job by a great manager who is no longer at Green Tree who would not stoop to their level.

I was fired for doing my job, Green Tree is paying referral bonuses usually around 1500.00 to 3000.00 to get friends to work for Green Tree. Best thing that can happen get rid of the directors and managers and start putting their employees and customers first instead of the dollar signs for these CEOS with Walter Mortage company.

Our Loan was sold to Green Tree

We originally had GMAC mortgage. We have always paid our payments, and had a great loan with them until they sold us to Everhome Mortgage. They were horrid, and charged a fee to pay on line if you didn't pay on exactly the first or before the first. That was bad enough, they sold our mortgage to Green TRee, They are worse than Everhome. Now we have to pay a fee if we pay on the phone. Can't pay on line, and our mail system is not good where we live. My husband just paid these people a few days early, on June 27 and they called today which is July 17 and claimed we had not paid our payment yet! When my husband called them they found their person had not put in our account information right. They were going to charge a late fee and another 12 dollar fee, my husband was furious, We were going to be charged for something that is not our fault. These are greedy unscrupulous people. They are dishonest with people who pay their bills!

The same happened to me. I paid 1 month in advance on June 2, for July, got a conformation number then they started calling my daughter?

Two weeks later! I called Green Tree and asked why they were calling my daughter and why not me? (By the way, have no clue how they got her number)...

Then was told my payment never went through and GT rep stated that my account number didn't go through! GT has had my account number for two years now!

I paid again with my debit card and GT charged me 95 bucks late charge! also, they have held over 3 thousand in principal account I didn't know about... Long story short...

GT IS A *** UP SO CALLED BILLION DOLLAR RIP OFF AND NASTY AS CAN BE.

Statements State Late Fee Assessed after the 17th of the Month-Not True

Called customer service to dispute the late fee of $29.95. Made payment on 6/17, GT assessed late fee on the 18th. Very RUDE female customer service rep berated me and said I made payment too late in the day on the 17th but wouldn't retract the late payment. I told her there was no reason to yell at me and make me feel bad and she replied, "I'm just telling you how it is!" The wording on the GT statement doesn't state a cut-off time on the 17th. We'll be refinancing ASAP to get away from thesis crooks! DO NOT USE Green Tree Mortgage Servicing!

Most of the reviews I have seen don't even know just how far GT will go to steal your home.

My sons mortgage was sold to GT. He is disabled, his wife had been laid off and they were a couple months behind. When sold to GT and he received his first "call" from them he was told not to worry he would not loose his home that they could help with with his hardship, all he needed to do was fill out the appropriate paper work and fax it to them. I faxed paper work for him to them over and over for a month. Each time he called he was told , "Don't worry, you will not loose your home, we just need more paper work. I faxed more. Each time he was told they needed something else. This went on for weeks until he was served with foreclosure papers demanding he be out in a week... then it turned into 2 weeks and now he is being sued by them and has to appear in court. And somehow GT has lost all his paperwork that was faxed to them and I have confirmation that it was received! This is the worst company I have ever heard of in all of my 68 years. And today my daughter tells me her mortgage has been sold to GT. She was 1 day late on her payment, which they told her she had until the 16th to pay. When she wanted to make her payment they asked her if she wanted to fill out mitigation papers. She said "no" I just want to make my payment! She is looking for another mortgage company. And by the way, when GT bought my sons mortgage, and he was only 2 months behind, his house was listed by a local Realtor, who sells homes for GT in our area, as a pre-foreclosure the day it was purchased by GT. Their entire mode of operation is to "assist" people in helping them steal their homes, which most have low balances, so they can turn around and sell them. They do not care if a family of five is living on the streets just as long as they have your home! This is pathetic! This should be against the law. Why can't people get this type of practice stopped. We are talking about thousands of homeowners all across the US being harassed, foreclosed on and loosing thousands of dollars they have poured into their homes for years. One website I looked at with reviews for GT had nearly 10,000, ALL NEGATIVE, ALL WITH THE SAME STORY. There is definitely something wrong with this picture! Who owns this company, some foreign country? Good way to take us down, take away our homes. Why can't this be stopped?

Screwed up accounting

Greentree took a $1,000 payment toward principal and lopped off several months of interest instead of applying the money toward the the principal. Worst customer service ever...worst accountancy ever...when they purchased my mortgage, it was like going from an easy monthly payment through hoops of chaos. They CHARGE a $12 service fee for online payments! UHHGGGHG. I will be doing an equity loan with my bank just to get out of the *** of Green Tree. It is a powerless feeling when you do not have any ability to stop a transfer from taking place, and when you know you are moving from a legitimate business to a second-rate, broke down ghetto company scratching for your money like a succubus. Boo Green Tree. Boo.

Greentree Servicing - Insurance Claim Review from Minneapolis, Minnesota

I sold my house in a short sale the end of may. I had an insurance claim check for water damage which was to be endorsed over to me after the sale. Green Tree now refuses to endorse the claim check to me even though I have a fax from them stating they would once the sale was complete. Don't know what to do now. That money was going to get me into an apartment, now I'm stuck living back at my parents with my son. How embarrassing for someone 50 years old!!!

Horrible Customer Service

I accidentally paid my mortgage twice on June 13. GreenTree said they would refund my money if I faxed in documentation--bank account number and a screen shot of the payments processed through my bank. I faxed everything on June 13. It is July 7, and no refund. I have spoken to five different people and gotten five different stories. The refund was supposed to be processed the week of June 16, and then I was told I would have it between July 1-3. I called July 3, and they took my routing and account info and said it would be in my bank account within 24 hours. Guess what? No refund as of July 7. The account rep supervisor I spoke to today--July 7--said she could not help me. I am beyond frustrated with this company. Add to this that they have been reporting my mortgage incorrectly--and in a damaging way-- to the credit bureaus since they bought the mortgage from Bank of America in April 2013. I disputed the info with the credit bureaus and to Greentree on June 9. The bureaus note that I have zero balance and the mortgage was discharged in bankruptcy. NOT TRUE!!! How long do I have to wait for them to fix this mistake?

Will not give us Insurance money to rebuild after flood

This company will not reimburse for claims made. We are coming up on 3 months and have received 10% of the insurance money given over to the Greentree mortgage company. I have had to rebuild out of pocket. The claim to oversee my rebuild from South Dakota. They are rude and unhelpful in the face of crisis. They keep reminding me they have until the end of the 10th business day to respond. They are basically holding money for interest by stipulating I have submit all invoices individually. This is wrong and in fact immoral. I have been displaced since flooding and wish to get back into my home quickly. The insurance and workmen have all been helpful. NOT Greentree. Do Not use Greentree if at all possible.

my mortgage got sold to these snakes back in 07. ever since then i have had nothing but trouble with these people,,and yes i have been late now and then but they always refuse to help then they got the nerve to call 100 times and even called my mom while she was very sick and threatend her to. i own my land and pay on this *** mobile home i told them to come take it over the years but no they just keep threating me trying to scare me so i recently just stoped talking to them, do not get a mortgage with these people they are horrible.rude.inhumane i have no respect for them! come get your piece of junk home off my land!
